Clouds
I am clouds. My
nature is changeable as I scud freely across the face of my partner,
the Sky, supported on the breath of my brother, the Wind. Sometimes
Im wispy and ethereal; at other times Im fluffy and soft; yet I
also can be like airbrushed dollops gaily placed here and there; and
yes, sometimes Im dark and restless.
Always, though, I am
free and ever changing never confined to one shape or color or
form ever present, regardless of the season or time of day. At
sunrise, I can be fringed in colors of glorious peach and orange. At
sunset, I can glow golden and clear. During midday, I float lazily
across the warm face of Father Sun, providing welcome shade for hot
humans below. During the Full Moon, I am silvery and ghost-like. At
night, I am silent and unseen, yet still present.
As a prelude to Fall,
Spring and Summer storms, I roll hurriedly forward, gaining speed and
weight as I gather the water that will wash the Air and Mother Earth
clean once I release my precious cargo of rain. I joyfully tumble with
my siblings, Lightning and Thunder. I playfully block Father Sun,
teasing him with my laughter.
In Winter, my cargo
becomes beautiful, intricate, unique snowflakes, which I release to
fall silently to Mother Earth, silently blanketing her in the
innocence of white. I stand out against the Sky crisp and bright, seen
by human eyes through the coldness of Winter Air.
My beauty is
reflected throughout the seasons in the lakes, ponds, rivers, and
oceans of Mother Earth. I enjoy seeing myself in this way, being
simultaneously above and below, solid and transparent. In this way, I
experience myself as multi-dimensional, infinite, and eternal. I am
clouds.
